ARCADE GROUP, Engineers and Contractors started functioning in 1990 with K. Vinod Kumar as Managing Partner and K. Santhosh Kumar as Partner. 500 Sq. feet space was purchased in the 1st floor of Al-Ameen building, Killiparamba Lane, Link Road, Calicut and the office was set there. Initially only consultancy and supervision were done by the company. To make the company as one of the top one in the construction field was the dream and efforts started at the time of opening itself.
Gradually construction works of residential houses were taken up and completed implementing the modern techniques and according to the latest trend. The reputation of the company was spreading gradually through these customers ear to ear and major works are also entrusted to the company. School buildings, Hostel Buildings, Multistoried residential buildings, villas, shoping complexes etc are entrusted to the company by major companies, charitable and educational institution etc. Many works costing morethan 100 lakhs were completed successfully
In 1990, two engineering professionals just out of the technical institute, having full of new ideas about architecture and interior decorations started a new firm Arcade Engineers & Builders with its office below CH Over bridge, Calicut. K. Vinod Kumar and K. Santhosh Kumar are these engineers. The former being the Managing Partner and later the Partner of this new firm. Only designing and consulting were done in the beginning. The designs of low cost houses aiming mostly middle class customers where accepted with warm welcome. The firm helped to construct these type of residences by giving free advice and consultancy.
Modern Building Materials & Constructions was started in 2002 with its office at Al-Ameen Building, Killiparamba Lane , Link Road, Calicut utilising space adjoining to the office Arcade Group, Engineers and Contractors. Modern Building Materials & Constructions in a sister concern of Arcade Group woth the same management. The company was started mainly for the supply and distribution of Aerocon panel, a new product used for the building construction. There was another product also ‘conmix’ which is used in fixing the Tiles and joint filling. This was later abandened due to the scarcity of this product since the company stopped the production. Company continued to supply Aerocon panels according to order from customers and to Arcade Group for their construction work.
